Table Fellowship is a group of pastors, leaders, and churches who have been through the tough stuff and who are choosing to get healthy and stay healthy together.
We don't just want pastors surviving, we want them and their church thriving.
PASTORING FOR PASTORS.
Unfortunately, it’s common for pastors to feel alone. Far too often, no one is pastoring the pastors and they have nowhere to turn for friendship, comfort, advice, and help. This negatively affects himself, his family and the church. These are the things we work hard to provide to our churches. We believe every pastor would benefit from spiritual help and input from the outside.
We take the training of leaders very seriously. Healthy churches are led by healthy leaders.
HEALTHY UNDERSTANDING OF SCRIPTURE.
Healthy leaders never stop growing. We work hard to help all of our pastors and leaders grow in their knowledge of God’s word. A priority in our teaching is an emphasis on robust Biblical theology. We work hard to strengthen our leaders’ understanding of the story being told in all parts of Scripture. Beyond this, we work at developing the preaching skills of our pastors and leaders. Yearly conferences are aimed at providing needed instruction. Additional biblical training is provided throughout the year.
Even independent churches need someone looking out for them. This is especially true in difficult days.
INDEPENDENT, BUT NOT ALONE.
Our churches are, in a very real sense, independent. This means Table Fellowship does not have legal authority over Table Fellowship churches. We cannot “make” Table Fellowship churches do anything. We do not hire pastors and we do not fire pastors. We do not own the property of Table Fellowship churches. We cannot decide what is preached on a particular Sunday. But we are far more than just spectators from afar. We are keenly interested in the events taking place in all of our local churches. We are, in a very real sense, watching over them. Our churches have asked us to pay special attention to them. All of our member churches have willingly “tied” themselves to Table Fellowship. This means our churches have invited us to have a voice within the local church. This voice is important during every season. It is especially important during times of crisis. It is critical church members know who the church is looking to in order to receive input and direction. We regularly help our churches through the most difficult seasons. It’s our pleasure to work for the health of Christ’s church. We’d do the same with you.
Local churches are the right starting place for the development of leaders. We’ll help with that.
FOCUS ON LEADERS SO THEY CAN FOCUS ON THEIR PEOPLE.
It is absolutely critical that we focus on the development of our future leaders. It is a sign of faith and humility. It is a sign that we see beyond our day, to a day when someone else will be leading. Taking an aggressive approach to leadership development is a sign we are looking into the future and are desiring God’s work to continue and expand. We want the next leaders to be better leaders than we are.
